1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower
blood sugar level.
This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2. Overeating
It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking
It causes multiple
brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6. Sleep Deprivation
Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of
brain cells.

7. Head covered while sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain

BEST FRIENDS: HOW TO GROW FRIENDS

Written or compiled by Joy Stevens

feet.gif (2992 bytes)Friendships.

1. People Equal Friends.smyc
There is a certain chemistry with friends just as in a love relationship. Therefore, contact with other people is the first building block to grow a friend. Friends can’t grow in a vacuum. Best friends take time.

2. Talking Is Essential Among Friends.
Talking between friends requires reciprocity. In a mutually satisfying friendship, both friends talk and both friends listen.  Friends talk appropriately to each other.

3. Friends Acknowledge Friends.
Friends acknowledge each other when talking. Many  conflicts in your personal relationships can be avoided  if you will take the time to acknowledge other’s feelings and points of view.

4. Friends Listen to Friends.
Listening to friends in an important step in building a closer friendship. We often take listening for granted, never realizing what it means to really listen to a friend.

5. Friends Attend to Friends.
Friends focus during conversations. Friends pay attention in conversations. It means that your ears, your eyes, your body and your feelings are all focused on that person at the time.

6. Friends Show Empathy With Friends.
Empathy is identifying with your friend’s feelings and seeing life through your friend’s eyes. Confidences are freely given when they are received with empathy among friends.

7. Friends Touch Friends.
Touching is a warm form of communication between friends. When you see best friends communicating, you will notice friends "listen with their eyes," stand close together, and touch comfortably.

8. Friends Praise Friends.
Affirmation is a powerful tool for growing a friend. Genuine praise can affect your friends’ lives. Be liberal with praise for all of your friends, including your casual ones.

9. Friends Are Loyal and Trustworthy.
Trust and loyalty go hand-in-hand for friends. Friends can trust you with their secrets, both large and small, because good friends never break a confidence. Good friends are forever loyal!

10. Friends are Equal.
Friends are on a seesaw. In a healthy relationship, friends are equals. Not 50/50 every time, of course, but with a true, lasting  friendship it always evens out in the end.

11. Friends Reveal Their Feelings.
We feel closest to our friends when we are suffering together, when we feel like our friend needs us, or when we feel a friend has shared something of great importance with us.

12. Friends Do Not Mind Read.
The person who thinks, "If you really liked me, you could read my mind" can not have an adult friendship. No friend can read your mind. And you can not read your friend’s mind.

So what I was searching on the net on how to start a small business… I found this and wish to share it… (www.sba.gov.)BUS

this really made my eyes teary…so be prepared… just want to share this…
God Bless!!!

Like any good mother, when Karen found out that
another baby was on the way, she did what she could to
help her 3-year-old son, Michael, prepare for a new
sibling. They found out that the new baby was going to be
a girl, and day after day, night after night, Michael
sang to his sister in mommy’s tummy. He was building a
bond of love with his little sister before he even met
her. The pregnancy progressed normally for Karen, an
active member of the Panther Creek United Methodist
Church in Morristown , Tennessee .
In time, the labor pains came. Soon it was every
five minutes, every three, every minute. But serious complications arose during delivery and Karen found herself in hours of labor. Would a C-section be required? Finally, after a long struggle, Michael’s little sister was born. But she was in very serious condition.

With a siren howling in the night, the ambulance rushed
the infant to the neonatal intensive care unit at St Mary’s
Hospital, Knoxville , Tennessee . The days inched by. The little girl got worse. The pediatrician had to tell the parents there
is very little hope. Be prepared for the worst. Karen
and her husband contacted a local cemetery about a
burial plot.

They had fixed up a special room in their house
for their new baby but now they found themselves
having to plan for a funeral. Michael, however, kept
begging his parents to let him see his sister. I want
to sing to her, he kept saying. Week two in intensive
care looked as if a funeral would come before the week
was over. Michael kept nagging about singing to his sister,
but kids are never allowed in Intensive Care. Karen
decided to take Michael whether they liked it or not.
If he didn’t see his sister right then, he may never
see her alive. She dressed him in an oversized scrub
suit and marched him into ICU. I looked like a walking
laundry basket.
The head nurse recognized him as a child and
bellowed, "Get that kid out of here now. No children
are allowed." The mother rose up strong in Karen, and
the usually mild-mannered lady glared steel-eyed right
into the head nurse’s face, her lips a firm line. "He
is not leaving until he sings to his sister" she
stated. Then Karen towed Michael to his sister’s
bedside.
He gazed at the tiny infant losing the battle to
live. After a moment, he began to sing. In theBABY
pure-hearted voice of a 3-year-old, Michael sang: "You
are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy

when skies are gray." Instantly the baby girl seemed
to respond. The pulse rate began to calm down and
become steady. "Keep on singing, Michael," encouraged
Karen with tears in her eyes. "You never know, dear,

how much I love you, please don’t take my sunshine
away." As Michael sang to his sister, the baby’s
ragged, strained breathing became as smooth as a
kitten’s purr. "Keep on singing, sweetheart." "The
other night, dear, as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held
you in my arms". Michael’s little sister began to

relax as rest, healing rest, seemed to sweep over her.
"Keep on singing, Michael." Tears had now conquered
the face of the bossy head nurse. Karen glowed. "You
are my sunshine, my only sunshine. Please don’t take
my sunshine away…"

The next day…the very next day…the little girl was
well enough to go home. Woman’s Day Magazine called it
The Miracle of a Brother’s Song. The medical staff
just called it a miracle. Karen called it a miracle of
God’s love.

NEVER GIVE UP ON THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE.

LOVE IS SO INCREDIBLY POWERFUL.

Life is indeed good.

I graduated at the University of Southeastern Philippines with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Language and Literaturemhayn unifrom usep year 2004. Basically, I do not have any teaching units.  However, I had teaching experience at elementary, secondary and tertiary education after I got my degree.emoticon

My experience in teaching English to primary school was just a matter of chance. It was at the Good Shepherd of College of Science and Technology where I taught English subjects to primary and secondary students. After college, I was chosen to be the replacement of a grade six class as an adviser. Teaching elementary and secondary students has been a fastidious event in my career. Since I do not have any teaching methods or experience I relied basically on the planner, my experience in college and did my self-review on what approach are to be use for teaching children. Fortunately, I was able to manage my responsibilities well. I was even held as Head Leader in Girl Scout and Head in English Department. Even without any teaching units on my degree, I ensured that my students would learn great things from me. I taught them that even if they might forget what I have said, but at least they will never forger how I made them feel.

Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best." - Bob Talbert

emoticonAfter a year, I was determined to use my teaching skills in tertiary level. I thought about applying my skills, experience and knowledge to college students where I could use my higher units from my degree.

AIFCP FacultyMy teaching experience at the Agro-Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines has been diverse. I have taught courses geared to maritime students, as well as to hotel and restaurant management student. I have served both as an English Teacher from first year to third year level and as a Department Head Secretary. I have taught communication skills, speech and oral communication, technical writing, marine vocabulary and terms, maritime English, business English Correspondence and Elements of Research courses. This wide-ranging experience has given me an incredible opportunity to hone my teaching approach and methods.

emoticonMy experience as a teacher was to convey my own enthusiasm to my students. Whether by a beautifully illustrated principle or a bewilderingly unexplained demonstration, my role was to prepare and inspire my students to discover. It challenged me to give students the tools, the impulse and the room to synthesize their own connections to the concepts of communication. I am honored by each of these recognitions, but these are not the primary reward of effective teaching. The primary reward is my student’s success.w/ 2005 AIFCPgraduates

How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.-

Annie Dillard

Our daily perceptions and actions is our life. It came to me when my younger brother asked me to write and make a blog. He told me that most of his classmates were earning because of it. And so he wanted me to write my perceptions in life, my experience and anything under the sun.

In my area, I found it really hard to write down an article that would be an interest to other people. There were many things I could discuss and write about. But then, I realized that I can’t start all over without looking on my inner self, my experience and my personal profile. Thus, I decided that it would be better to write down a brief biography as an author of this baby mhaynpost.

I am 24 years old right now and was born on the dawn of September 6, 1983 at Parang, Maguindanao, Mindanao Province, Philippines. I am the fourth and the only daughter of Delfin Lungay Albores, an authoritarian & retired soldier and Rogelia Mayola-Albores, a diligent housewife. My brothers were Rodel(30), Delfin Jr.(28), Edmund (27) and my younger brother Francis (20). We are in Roman Catholic faith.

I first studied at Cebu Central School, Cebu City, when I was in kindergarten and on the first grade. I was fond of drawings and figures on my kindergarten year. Even though that I am not an active kid, I was able to mingle with my classmates, especially when they want me to show favors to them by doing simple written activities at class. It was a fun for me to do their assignments because I really like to draw the figures that my teacher taught us about. And as a kid, It didn’t occur to me that my classmates might not have learned anything from our class on those activities.

mhayn motorWe transferred school at Pardo Extension Elementary School, Cebu City, on my second grade. On this time, I tried to do some extra curricular activities by joining dance contest at school and participating presentations & other activities during programs. When the school year ended, I received second place in our class.

When I was on my third grade my family moved to Davao City. I studied at Vicente Hizon Elementary School, and then finished my elementary education at St. Jude Elementary School, Davao City, from fourth grade until six. There, my mother ran a small "sari-sari" store, while my father was reassigned in an intelligence of Philippine Army. The family income was small and highly uncertain; financial crisis was a constant companion. Yet there was always enough to eat, and the family atmosphere was warm and supportive.

Along with my brothers, I attended public secondary school, graduating from Bernardo D. Carpio National High School in 2000. I engaged in many extra curricular activities at school such as singing contest, poster-making competition and even ran as a political figure being Congress Representative. I even won first place on a division school press conference in editorial cartooning on my fourth year.

emoticonMy childhood and youth experience was totally an unforgettable moment of my life. I believe in the quotation, "If you carry your childhood with you, you never become older" by Tom Stoppard. I do consider that my personality is more of a kid than a woman. Maybe because of my height as 5ft and the manner that I can speak baby talk, other people may see me as a kid and tagged me as a little girl. However, I regard it as an optimistic key to not become older and aged easily. Just childlike but not childish.

emoticon I heard the song "Road of our Lives" by Martin Nievera, since I was sixteen. It was when my older brother has a casette tape by Martin Nievera. He was one of the famous singer in the Philippines at the time. The song and the lyrics has really been my inspiration since then. As I come to realized now, it depicts the two most important things in our holy religion… faith and life. He who shall rightly understand these two words is not far from being a master in the knowledge of God. Faith and life! these are vital points to me being a Christian. "They possess an intimate connection with each other that they are by no means to be severed; God has so joined them together, let no man seek to put them asunder" as quoted in Life and Christ Verses.

With this song, I remembered in the famous verses, Psalm 23:4

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For you are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they confort me.

IF you found this page it maybe that you are walking through your valley of shadow. Sometimes it may seem like the enemy sorrounds you everywhere, but remember that Jesus Will never let you be by yourself, Jesus will always be with you. Don’t be afraid. Pray to Jesus to give you strength and wisdom to guide you to the light from your shadow. Be strong, be brave for Jesus is with you.

Through our prayers may God lead us "to know Jesus more clearly, to love him more dearly and to follow him more nearly" into the new springtime of Christian life, — "Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today and forever". (Heb. 13/8).

I just want to share the lyrics. God Bless.emoticon

Road Of Our Lives

(Martin Nievera)

We are traveling the road of our lives
Finding our way with the will to survive
Dealing with the lows and the highs
Day by day

On our journey we will do the best we can
If we stumble and fall and we struggle to stand
Lift us up with your helping hand
We’ll be on our way

Whatever you do, I’ll walk with you
Hoping that your every dream will come true
Anytime anywhere, I’ll always be there
Wishing you love and happiness because I care

When it’s shining bright I’ll be by your side
And in the darkness of night, I’ll be there to guide
Holdin’ on to each other tight
Come what may

As we travel down the road of our lives
Making our way with a dream and the drive
Trading the lows for the highs
Day by day

Bringing you love and happiness because I care
